Ogunquit, Maine painting
The rugged coastline of Maine with its lighthouses and quaint villages is one of my favorite painting subjects. This painting brings back fond memories of the late Valfred Thelin, an artist and teacher, who first gave me the inspiration to paint. Mixed media on illustration board was one of his favorite techniques. I used this method to paint Perkins cove in Ogunquit. To finish, acrylic spray is applied to seal the surface permanently.
