White Gems painting
This painting of flowers is a study in contrasts. Most prominent are the stark contrast in values between the white flowers and dark background and in colors between the dark purple sky and the orange reflections under the flowers.The design shows size and curve dominance. The three main flowers vary in size according to a simple formula used by many artists - Papa, Mama and Baby. Most of the colors are in watercolor with the exception of the orange and the deep blue in center top, which are in acrylic.
